Visiting a gallery space, viewers might notice a stack of printouts of a page of a library catalogue. They might notice that the page has been written on in green ink, a number circled, the exhortation “CHECK ME OUT!” They might remember there is a library across the street.
Visiting a library, patrons might discover a book with an unusual (in fact, a non-existent) call number. If tempted to look inside, they might find that it contains no pages, but rather two pieces of cloth – a white cotton jacket with images on the outside, and a white cotton loop with images on the inside. They might feel tempted to put these things on. They might feel tempted to put their hands in the pockets. Or, they might not.
